Jesus Wants to Save You – Start Your Journey with Christ
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” – John 14:6 (KJV)
SALVATION PRAYER
(If you are ready to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, repeat the following prayer with an open and sincere heart):
Dear Heavenly Father,
I’m sorry I’ve hurt You with the way I lived my life. I come to You with a humble heart in prayer, asking for the forgiveness of all my sins.
I confess with my mouth and believe with my heart before the world that Jesus Christ is Your only begotten Son and that He died on the Cross at Calvary so I’d be forgiven of my sins and have eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Heavenly Father, I believe that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and is alive. I ask You right now to come into my life and be my personal Lord and Savior. I repent of all my sins and welcome You into my heart to worship You all the days of my life!
Your Word is true, so I confess with my mouth that I am born again and cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. Please fill me with Your Holy Spirit, who will teach me and guide me in living for You.
I acknowledge before all that You are my Lord and Savior forever and for all eternity.
Amen.
What’s Next? Your Journey with Jesus
Congratulations on accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour! Saying the prayer is just the first step. Here are seven essential steps to help you grow in your faith:
- Join a Bible-Teaching Church
Connect with a church that teaches the truth of the Bible. Surround yourself with other believers who share your love for the Gospel. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” – 2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV
- Surround Yourself with Believers
Seek out friendships with people who believe in Jesus as the only way to the Father. Be cautious of false teachings and avoid influences that lead you away from the true Gospel. “False prophets appeared in the past among the people, and in the same way false teachers will appear among you. They will bring in destructive, untrue doctrines…” – 2 Peter 2:1 GNT
- Baptism by Water
Follow Jesus’ example by being baptized. Baptism is a public declaration of your faith and symbolizes spiritual cleansing. “This water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God.” – 1 Peter 3:21 NIV
- Baptism with the Holy Ghost & Fire
Receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, who empowers you, guides you, and strengthens you to live for Christ.“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” – Acts 2:38 KJV
- Get a Bible
Obtain a Bible to study and reflect on God’s Word. The King James Version (KJV) is a great choice, but you can also use translations like the Good News Translation (GNT) or Easy-to-Read Version (ERV) for better understanding. Let the Holy Spirit guide your study.
- Read Your Bible Daily
Build a habit of daily Bible reading and meditation. Let the Scriptures strengthen your faith and teach you God’s truth. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” – 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV
- Set Up a Strong Prayer Life
Develop a daily prayer routine, presenting your needs and giving thanks to God. Prayer is your lifeline to a deeper relationship with Christ. “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” – Philippians 4:6 KJV
Congratulations on Your New Journey!
Remember, the Christian walk is not always easy, but you are never alone. God is with you every step of the way. Stay connected to His Word, surround yourself with believers, and never stop seeking His presence. “The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you but will rejoice over you with singing.” – Zephaniah 3:17 NIV
